- How much does a photo shrink?
- A 4-6 MB phone photo usually compresses to 500-900 KB at quality 80 with no visible difference. The target size mode picks the quality so the file fits the kilobytes you set.
- How do I shrink a photo without losing quality?
- Shrinking is always safe: pixels are averaged and the picture stays sharp. Enlarging more than 2 times gives blur; that is a limit of any tool.
- How do I crop a photo into a circle?
- Choose the Circle shape. The result is saved as PNG with transparent corners, a file that works as an avatar.
- What is HEIC and why does the photo not open?
- HEIC is the photo format on iPhone since 2017. It takes half the space of JPG, but Windows and many websites do not understand it. After conversion to JPG the photo opens everywhere.
- How do I convert WebP to JPG?
- Upload the .webp file, choose JPG and press the button. Images from websites are often saved as WebP; after conversion they open in any editor.
- Which passport photo sizes are available?
- 2×2 inches for the US passport and visa, 35×45 mm for the EU, UK, Schengen visa and most countries, 3×4 cm for IDs and passes, 4×6 cm for some certificates, and a digital 35×45 mm photo under 5 MB for online applications.
